Prilliman Elopement

While I didn’t necessarily create this painting physically at their ceremony, Im still including this here as a live wedding painting. This was for a friends’ elopement. Funny enough, I actually started painting it before their elopement ever happened. Emma described the suit her husband would wear and the style of dress she’d have. She told me they’d be eloping at Glacier National Park, famous for its breath taking views and wildflowers. Knowing Emma is to know her canine companions are just as important in her life as her husband (maybe even more so!). I knew I had to include the pups in this painting as dogs play a big role in their lives. I actually finished the painting before she ever showed me photos of how the day actually went but to my surprise, the photos and this painting were like siblings…kindred spirits! So intrinsically similar, yet each their own. Same energy and feel yet both capturing their love story in different, unique ways.
